"AN OLD WESTERN TOWN"

Charlie Cook is a cowboy poet extraordinair. He has been rhymin' and writin' for the better part of his years and has recently published a book called "Good Dogs, Good Horses & Good Women". He and his wife, Sue, spend their time between their house in Buffalo, the ranch east of Sheridan and their horse pasture on the Powder River. The two of them stay busy with Charlie's leather working, their horses, the ranch and Sue's artwork. Charlie will be your Master of Ceremonies for the evening show.
Gwen Petersen is like a little banty hen. She will be celebrating her 80th birthday in Feb. 2008 just days after she performs at this gather. We are pleased to have Gwen agree to help us out with our gather this year. Gwen's poetry and now her music (since she decided to start playing the guitar) will keep the audience in stitches. She is the genuine article and when she takes the stage in her jaunty little hat you better sit back and prepare to be entertained!
JIM HAMILTON is a Decker, Montana rancher who occassionally takes time out from his ranching duties to grace an audience with his dry sense of cowboy humor and unique insight into his world of cows, ranching, husbandry (the kind that revolves around his ranch wife, Marge), his kids & neighbors (both equally entertaining). His poetry is a mix of deeply moving and uproariously funny material. He keeps an audience hanging on his every word.
Leslie Keltner is a cowboy poet from over Cody, Wyoming way that has been there and done that. Her poetry and music are a reflection of her life and times. She can recite a poem or sing an original song that will keep you rollin' in the aisles or leave the room with not a dry eye in the house. Her material not only reflects her lifestyle but her opinions and attitude as well.

KEN OVERCAST is a Chinook, Mt cowboy & rancher with eight CD recordings under his belt and a host of nominations. Ken was crowned the Western Music Association Yodeler of the Year and awarded the coveted Will Rogers Award by the Academy of Western Artists. His original song "Montana Lullaby" was crowned the Montana State Song. While Ken's cute little wife, Dawn, stays at home to calve out the heifers Ken will be on stage to WOW you with his wild performance of a poem and then make you drag out your hankie when he sings you a song and then throw in a smattering of one-liners that will draw a giggle from even the toughest rancher.
