Not Bad for an
Old Hide is a collection of Deb’s
poems as well as a true story about the night she spent under a tree in a
snowstorm. The title originated with the
poem by the same name but is also a phrase she has heard more times than she cares
to admit and seemed to fit the occasion.
The poems are mostly true except for the ones which are not. The names of those involved have been used so
they get credit for their escapades. Her
family and friends, as well as some of her own misadventures, have been the
inspiration for her poetry. Cowboy
poetry is a way of passing stories down through generations and so it is her
hope that this book will carry her stories to future generations.
